Accommodation remains a perennial problem. We have had many cases where those leaving the service are taking the Covenant to local authorities only to find it being completely ignored.
Even more depressing is the case of the family given ‘gold priority’ in the local authority housing system because they were Veterans only to be told they would probably face a seven year wait for accommodation. And in the meantime . . . ?
