United by outstanding service
May 15, 2012
London’s greenest cleaning company, Citrica, has adopted Veterans Aid as a charity that shares its vision of commitment to the community.
MD Danny Buckley said, “Citrica’s success is based on expertise and outstanding service delivery – just like Veterans Aid. The UK’s ‘community’ ‘includes around 5 million ex-servicemen and women. Veterans Aid is an organisation that has been quietly extending the hand of friendship and practical support to that community for nearly 80 years – immediately, effectively and on the basis of what is needed rather than what is available.
“This charity is saving lives and Citrica is proud to support it.”
The Citrica brand is a familiar sight in London where it provides comprehensive cleaning services to many SME’s and blue chip clients. Privately owned, it operates with the same independence that Veteran’s Aid values and shares its passion for providing the very best service it can.
Citrica’s cleaning services range from daily office cleaning through to abseiling and glass restoration allowing it to fulfil clients’ complete requirements from a single supply source. Danny Buckley said, “We also have the distinction of being the UK’s Greenest Commercial Cleaning Company, an added benefit for clients corporate and social responsibility.”
CEO of Veterans Aid Dr Hugh Milroy added, “Citrica’s decision to become a major patron of Veterans Aid is a wonderful gesture. We are not a ‘glossy’ charity; the men and women who come to us are in crisis – victims of debt, addiction, relationship breakdown, mental illness and loneliness. Few are heroes. Most are ordinary people who, by virtue of their Service in HM Armed Forces, have become members of a unique ‘family’.
“But our philosophy is ‘hand up’ not ‘hand out’ – and that is exactly what friends like Citrica enable us to deliver; a pathway back to health, employment, security, independence, education and self-respect.
“We too are a ‘one stop shop’ in terms of the range of help we provide – and like Citrica we are proud of our successes and reputation.”
