The Vitality Run is described as the world’s greatest road race route through the heart of central London passing many of the capital’s historic landmarks, including the London Eye, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.
Tom said, “This will be the first time I have run an event like this and I am very much looking forward to it and its challenges. The reason why I decided to do it for Veterans Aid is because I wanted to make a difference and help veterans who find themselves in crisis.”
Tom, a recent graduate of the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester, is also going to join the VA team during summer – as an intern.
He said, “I was fortunate enough to be offered a two-week internship at Veterans Aid. My ambition is to join British Army as an Officer, however my Selection Board is not until September. I thought that in the meantime I would challenge myself, keeping my mind fresh as well as keeping fit while I’m not at my desk studying for Main Board. With this goal in mind, I thought that Veterans Aid would be a perfect charity to run and raise money for.”
