TESSY
“My name is Tessy de Nassau and I’m taking on the Strongman Challenge to raise money for Veterans Aid. I’m passionate about running for charity as I believe that, through small personal commitments, we are all able to help make this world a better place. Everyday issues can sometimes become overwhelming and lead to very unfortunate outcomes – something the charity Veterans Aid sees every day.
“I believe that it is vital, in a globalised and interconnected world, to care for one another and that the actions of a compassionate community are key to the creation of a better society for everyone. Through this Strongman Challenge, with the support of my whole team – Louis de Nassau, Sonja and Alex Aiken, Marine Strauss, Oliver Gerrish, family and friends – I want to create awareness of this through the example of Veterans Aid.
“Your donation will help us to achieve this goal and we are very grateful for your support; thank you so much for it and don’t stop believing in that it is never too late to take action to empower the weakest of us all.” – Tessy
HUGH
“My name is Hugh Milroy and I’m the CEO of Veterans Aid. Many people do wonderful things to support the work we do and we are grateful, in equal measure, to them all. I’m taking the unusual step of writing about this one because Tessy worked with us in London for several months and became a much valued member of the Veterans Aid team. During that time she told us about the Strongman Challenge, which she and her friends undertook last year. On 19th October, 2014 she will be taking up the challenge again – for VA.
“The beneficiary last year was The Fondation du Grand-Duc et la Grande Duchesse du Luxembourg , an organisation whose commitment to respect and human dignity resonates with our own. In supporting Tessy this year you will be helping Veterans Aid – and helping us to thank someone whose work at this charity will not be forgotten.
