A NEW single by soul-singer Angel Lewis Brown is set to put her career on the fast track – and Veterans Aid on the map.
Her husband Pawlo said, “Angela has gained support from a wide range of organisations, ranging from the British Darts Organisation, who will use their social media networks to tell their supporters about Veterans Aid, to Domino Pizzas who are doing a delivery of flyers with each pizza at selective stores nationally throughout February.”
The single, ‘Serve Below Zero’ is released today (18 February 2013) followed by a second single ‘Peaceful Rivers’. An album of the same name follows in May.
Angela said, “I have always been a supporter of our Armed Forces – even more so since meeting my husband who served in the first Gulf War. We discussed how we could help if I ever got to the stage of releasing my first single. After extensive research it just became clear that although there are a lot of fantastic military charities out there, Veterans Aid stood out from the rest. It offers instant, practical support and has real empathy for the veterans who seek its help.”
Pawlo, who has been a driving force behind the making the release of Angela’s single ‘work’ for the charity, added, “I served in the late 80’s early 90’s. The Army gave me the skills, courage and determination to pursue my dreams and I’ve met many ex-service personnel who feel the same. Sadly a few fall through the cracks after discharge but it’s great to know that, for them, an organisation like Veterans Aid exists. It doesn’t judge those who seek its help and from the outset the emphasis is on a positive approach and practical help.”
Released on independent label Distant Records, the single features several mixes that span most musical genres.
