The annual Rugby Coaching Day and Charity Match in support of Veterans Aid is scheduled for 27th August 2014. The event will take place in Hyde Park Ground Taunton, Somerset.
The 3 Close Support Regiment Royal Logistic Corps (3CSLR) Rugby Squad has been invited by Taunton Rugby Football Club to assist with coaching the youth squad and compete in a charity match.
Warrant Officer Jack Frost, the Youth Chairman at Taunton Rugby Football Club, has been organising the event since 2011. He said, “Raising money for VA was a ‘no brainer’. There is lot of support in our club for veterans and serving members of HMF. Moreover we appreciate what VA does and it inspires others to do something for our ex-personnel who deserve all the help. I have been serving now for nearly 28 years and could not find a more suitable charity to support in whatever way I can.”
The match and coaching activities will run from 9am to 4pm and the match kick-off is at 7pm.
