Veterans Aid has found a good friend, in the heart of the military community, at the prestigious Army and Navy Club. Often known by its nickname, ‘The Rag’, the club caters for serving and former officers of the British and Commonwealth Armed Services, as well as their immediate relatives.
CEO of Veterans Aid Dr Hugh Milroy said “We’ve been touched by the support offered by ‘The Rag’ and its members’ instant understanding of our ‘veteran helping veteran’ ethos.
“We’re grateful for all donations, however small, but the Army and Navy Club has done something unique and enduring by giving us ongoing visibility among the community we most want to reach and help. The Club is one of the oldest within the military community and to be “adopted” as their charity is an amazing honour.”
Located in St James the club has approximately 5,000 members, a limited number of whom are ladies and gentlemen who have not served in the Armed Forces.
