100% of proceeds will be donated to Veterans Aid and the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans previously spotlighted in Geoff Johns & Gary Frank’s Junkyard Joe #1: Special Black & White Veterans Edition
LOS ANGELES (November 10, 2023) – In honour of Veteran’s Day this November 11, Ghost Machine is releasing a special JUNKYARD JOE t-shirt with all sales proceeds benefitting Veterans Aid (UK) and the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (in Washington, D.C.) two leading charitable organisations committed to ending veteran homelessness. The special veterans’ edition JUNKYARD JOE T-shirt is available for purchase (prices start at US$22.95) at Ghost Machine’s online store (international shipping available):

JUNKYARD JOE, created by writer Geoff Johns and artist Gary Frank, tells the story of a mysterious robot soldier and the cartoonist who he believes created him. Expanding the universe of heroes known as THE UNNAMED, Junkyard Joe’s explosive adventure launched last year to critical acclaim. Junkyard Joe #1: Special Black & White Veterans Edition was dedicated to Johns’ grandfather and Franks’ grandparents, who served in WWII. The story strives to highlight veterans’ perspectives through a comic book lens, with the special veterans’ edition raising awareness and funds in support of VA and the NCHV – the two charities received 100% of the proceeds with an additional $2 donated for each issue purchased. Johns and Frank are honored to continue their collaboration with VA and the NCHV through their new company, Ghost Machine.
Announced at last month’s New York Comic Con, Ghost Machine is a groundbreaking creator-owned and operated media company. The creators co-own all the characters and universes developed for their company, sharing in all publishing, media, merchandise, and beyond.
