CEO Dines with the Army

The CEO, Dr Hugh Milroy, was a guest of the RLC London District Food Services at a Dinner held at Woolwich Officers’ Mess. Principal guest was famous chef, Jamie Oliver.

The meal was prepared by young chefs from Jamie’s “15” project and newly trained RLC chefs. Uniquely, one of the Army chefs had been homeless after being discharged from the Army and staff from VA, working with Maj Harry Lomas from Horse Guards, got the young man back into the Army.

It was an outstanding dinner and profitable as well! The CEO was presented with a cheque for nearly £1400 by the chefs from Victoria Barracks, Windsor, who, under the watchful eye of Master Chef W02 Simon Hewart, had held a series of sponsored events to raise money for Veterans Aid”
