Frontline charities like Veterans Aid aren’t often seen in the society pages of glossy magazines, but when they have fairy godmother’s like Lady Rothermere, anything is possible!
Three hundred invited guests sat down to dinner and an evening of superb musical entertainment – but ‘crowned heads’ and messages from Princes notwithstanding, the real ‘royals’ were the ex-servicemen who had got their lives back on track. And the biggest cheer of the evening was for New Belvedere House hostel manager Pat O’Connor.
