BID BIG ON THE BFBS BIG SALUTE AUCTION TO SUPPORT VA

30 September 2016

The 2016 BFBS Big Salute on-air and online auction will be broadcast worldwide across Forces Radio, BFBS on Friday 7th October.

With more than 100 auction items up for grabs, you can bid on luxury hotel stays, sporting and music memorabilia, thrilling experience days, and unique meet and greet moments – it’s your BIG opportunity to have fun and raise vital cash for military charities.

The auction goes live today, Friday 30th September, and by 8pm (UK) all items will be listed online at www.bigsalute.com.

And you can also support the Big Salute and follow the action from the auction on Twitter, using #YourBigSalute and via the BFBS Radio Facebook page.

There’s a variety of treats and normally money-can’t-buy items, including the chance to meet former SAS soldier and author, Andy McNab, or take a flight on a British Airways simulator, which is usually reserved for professional pilots.

There’s a tour of the world-famous Pinewood Studios, tickets to visit the hallowed tennis turf at Wimbledon, or four-day passes to Creamfields dance music festival.

If you’d like to increase the adrenaline, bid on a wind tunnel experience with the RAF Falcons, a tandem skydive with the Army Parachute Association, or get sporty on a four-ball golf day with a group of chums.

All proceeds from the BFBS Big Salute fundraising auction and campaign go towards supporting armed forces charities to fund essential projects.

Most recently, the BFBS Big Salute has donated funds to; Blesma The Limbless Veterans, Blind Veterans UK, Combat Stress, FAB (Families’ Activity Breaks) and Veterans Aid.
