Two doctors from very different backgrounds joined forces at PwC recently to share their expertise on creating value through diversity.
CEO of Veterans Aid Dr Hugh Milroy (pictured far right) and host of TV’s Embarrassing Bodies Dr Christian Jessen were panellists in a debate organised jointly by the PwC Disability Network, PwC Military Network and GLEE@PwC Networks.
The event explored whether it was better ‘To disclose or not to disclose?’ and Dr Milroy was invited to share his experience of lessons learned from the development of disclosure culture in the military.
“It was a lively and well-attended event,” said Dr Milroy. “PwC clearly take the subject of inclusion and diversity confidence very seriously and I was delighted to be able to contribute.”
The PwC Military Network was established in 2014. Its mission is to build a firm, wide group of individuals with past or present military service who are able to leverage their experience and persona networks to the benefit of the firm. It exists to celebrate the diversity of having those with military experience in PwC and demonstrate externally the organisation’s commitment to the Armed Forces with regards to doing the right thing in the community.
