Mark Francois, Minister of State for Defence Personnel, Welfare and Veterans, has made a personal visit to Veterans Aid’s Drop-in Centre and hostel to see first hand how the charity operates.

After morning discussions at VA’s Victoria HQ he accompanied CEO Dr Hugh Milroy to New Belvedere House, to meet staff and residents at the flagship hostel that is home to 57 former soldiers, sailors and airmen.
Dr Milroy said afterwards, “We were delighted to welcome the Minister who is the latest in a series of politicians who have expressed interest in Veterans Aid and its achievements.”
Mr Francois served as an infantry officer in the Territorial Army and has a declared interest in military history.
