CEO of Veterans Aid Dr Hugh Milroy told The Sunday people that although the Military Covenant was supposed to protect veterans, the charity had clients across the UK who had been let down by it.
He told reporter Josh Layton “It’s a postcode lottery. People take the Covenant to some local authorities or housing associations and are laughed at.”
He once again issued a challenge to Prime Minister David Cameron to “Come and see what’s really happening”.
Veterans Aid has supported the Military Covenant from the outset, but feels it has raised expectations that are not being met.
