This summer, Veterans Aid received a grant of £15,000 from the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund (RAFBF) in support of veterans who have served in the Royal Air Force (RAF). It will help fund a range of interventions to prevent homelessness and support individuals towards leading sustainable and independent lives.
The RAFBF is the RAF’s leading welfare charity, who have been proudly supporting all serving and former members of the RAF, as well as their partners and dependent children, since 1919.
Many of us will go through some time of difficulty, but hopefully, most of us have a support network when we do. While the majority of service leavers have a successful and easy transition into civilian life, there are a few who find the change incredibly challenging and may find themselves in crisis. This grant directly helps RAF veterans in times of difficulty, to help them regain independence and give them back control of their situation.

‘We are hugely grateful to have received this support which will help us continue our homelessness prevention work among the ex-military community nationwide. With immediate action at the core of what we do, we aim to tackle the underlying causes of homelessness.’
