They’re off ! Three ‘Idiots Abroad’ on the Mongol Rally  2014 – and they are doing it for us. Over the next six weeks the story of this amazing journey will unfold – so  check-in regularly  for background to the trip, further details, updates, images, interviews and reports – from VA and BFBS. ‘The Idiots Abroad’ – Olly CardozoWill Ogilvie-Graham and Olivier Rident are driving 11,000 miles to Mongolia to help Veterans Aid – and we’ll be supporting them every mile of the way. Their transport is a London cab purchased on E-Bay, with 400,000 miles on the clock:  christened  ‘Mildred’ by the team ‘she’ has been carefully prepared for her journey – as have the lads who called in at the  salon below VA’s Victoria Drop-In Centre on July 17th  for a critical pre-departure short back and sides.

The Mongol Rally began in Hyde Park on Saturday, July 19th July, and ends in Mongolia’s capital Ulan Bator in around six weeks time.. The ‘rally’ is not a traditional race as no recognition is given to the ‘winner’. The challenge to actually finish!

The ‘Idiots’ will be driving through Europe, the Middle East and Asia; their route takes them  across 16 countries, three mountain ranges and two deserts.

Olly Cardozo said before the trip, “Our target is to raise as much as we can for Veterans Aid for all the great work that the charity gets up to behind the scenes. Please do find the time to donate, no amount is too small.”
